Arcus were appointed by Onward Group with a requirement to expedite services and a project team to swiftly tackle several  issues at a property known as The Quadrant located in Salford, Greater Manchester.

One of the main issues at the property was the identification of non-compliant cladding and external wall insulation systems to both rendered cladding and High Pressure Laminate (HPL). There was a complexity at the property in that 50% of the occupants were Onward tenants, while the other 50% were private leaseholders, for which Onward’s subsidiary company Contour Property Services were Property Management Agent. Onward therefore had all round responsibility for the building’s maintenance and compliance.

We ensured we added value on this project by;

• Guiding and advising Onward by way of managing a project programme to achieve key milestones.
• Procurement advice and Design & Build route to achieve timeline and therefore ensure compliance with Building Safety Fund dates.
• We also identified deficiencies in the existing flat roof and so recovering the roof to the whole property was implemented to the contract to ensure this integrated with thew cladding system.

The project was delivered within budget and resolved compliance matters for Onward and their residents.
