The Broadway Media City project is a 230,000 sq. ft development in Salford. It includes two blocks of apartments, at 14 and 17 storeys, with associated communal facilities and parking, to provide a tenure mix of 180 units for private sale, 100 units for Shared Ownership, as well as a retail unit to the ground floor. Arcus were appointed as Clerk of Works on the development.
As a high rise development, Arcus placed significant emphasis on fire safety works. Having received enhanced training on fire stopping, insulation and the inspection of fire doors, our Clerk of Works was well placed to work closely with the contractor in the design and works stages of the scheme.
Due to collaborative working of the team, the project completed 2 months ahead of schedule and produced an exemplary, high quality scheme in an iconic city centre location.
