Clive joined the Practice in 1986 as a Building Surveying Graduate, becoming a Partner in the mid 1990’s. Since then he’s been instrumental in growing and guiding the business to where we are today. When he's not busy managing the business, staff, and client projects, Clive spends time supporting Derby County (someone has to!) and telling Dad jokes that are so bad, they’re actually good!

A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Julie joined Arcus in 2011, lured in from the world of Civil Engineering and Construction. She’s now our Head of Marketing and Business Development, but her diverse skill set means she’s involved in just about every aspect of the business. On the occasions Julie takes a holiday, she normally escapes to her seaside retreat in Wales.

Rob has a Building Surveying background with expertise developed over 17 years at Arcus. He became an Associate Partner in 2020 and a Partner in 2025. He has extensive residential experience as an Employer’s Agent and is passionate about new digital technology. Outside of work, Rob enjoys DIY, family trips, and salmon fishing in Banchory, Scotland with his father

An award-winning Architect with an impressive portfolio, having become fed-up with poor weather and football Steve migrated from Scotland to the North East where he manages the Newcastle office. A former national Subbuteo player and failed professional footballer, he now spends his time brewing real ale and being a guest lecturer and critic at Newcastle University.

Since joining Arcus in 1994 as a graduate, Carl achieved Chartered Building Surveyor status and now manages the Liverpool Office. When he’s not looking for his ball on the golf course he is busy riding his motorbike around the Lake District or North Wales. He also leads our Professional Services Department, ensuring that clients comply with current legislative requirements and Arcus staff work to regulatory and best practice guidance.

Tim became an Associate Partner at Arcus in 2021 before taking on his current role of Office Partner in our Manchester office. With wide ranging experience, he specialises in delivering high quality schemes for the healthcare, education and housing sectors. When he manages to find time, Tim enjoys taking to his bike and throwing himself down mountains as fast as he can.

Tim Bush is an Equity Partner with over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry. A Chartered Building Surveyor and Project Manager, he has delivered new build, refurbishment and asset management projects across multiple sectors. Tim led the opening and long‑term growth of the Birmingham office and, more recently, supported the strategic launch of the Manchester and Leeds office. He is a key member of the Baily Garner Management Group.
